Hannah Landers
There are people in this world who change lives just by their nearness - Hannah Landers was one of them.
From her inimitable smile to her beautiful freckled face she gave her heart freely, along with her hugs and kisses and said "I love you" without reserve.
Hannah exhibited a compassion for others, for the hardships of this world, for the hard plight of the less fortunate, for those who were treated unfairly. She simply asked us to consider each other and our place on this earth.
She loved writing, her music and her friends. She loved Aaron and her family, her trip to Kenya, her work with children.
She had two bumper stickers on her car. One read "Hakuna Matata" and the other "If going to Church makes you a Christian, does going to the garage make you a car?"
Her sense of humor was as keen as her intelligence. She was exuberant, passionate, and without pretense. She laughed as much at herself as she did anything else. She loved us all hard.
Hannah worked at the Dunbar Garden – in memory of Josh and Jesse – every weekend. She hauled pavers and painted tables. She guarded the memories of her friends and now we will guard hers.
She will live in us forever. We will never forget her.
